who is better HP or DELL which company is better?

i want to know which PC company is better before i buy a laptop who is better in service, battery life, life(how it last for), and accessories

1. My old DELL is still kicking after 10 years. Battery lasts for 2.17 seconds though. My new HP is newer and i like it a bit better.

3. Dell has a bad reputation for out of warranty help and repair, (I read 3 Computer Magazines) and HP is just great. I know because I had dealings with both, HP has given me support for even 10 year old Computers and Laptops, Printers are not so good. HP HP HP
4. DELL products last very long. HP has poor quality, and probably has 1/3 of the lifespan of DELL.
5. I bought my son an HP Laserjet printer - for $1,500 - when he entered university. These many years later, he still uses it, when I know he can afford a whole printing plant if he wants one. A new printer now costs about $150. I use a Dell computer. While there is nothing wrong with it, I keep suspecting they've built something into it to eavesdrop on me. Not true, of course, I hope. Reputation is so important. And nothing beats longstanding good reputation.
