Are Inkject or Laser Printers Better for printing Photographs?
yeah i need to print out pictures from my computer what printer gives better quality pictures?

- Laser, because they have a much better resolution. Also, they don't leave those ink splotches if you're almost out of ink.

- Unless you can afford a good color laser (which means not the cheapest one) AND each of the color toners, get a photo quality inkjet. A cheap color laser still costs more and looks worse than a mid- or high end inkjet.
- For photographs inkjets win hands downs. Lasers are much cheaper to run and much better at text and line art, but halftoning is not one of a laser printer's strengths. Print out a solid area of medium grey out on an inkjet and it will be a nice even colour. Print out the same test on a laser of equivalent resolution and the halftoning will be clearly visible: you will have a fairly coarse pattern of black dots on white paper. The same holds even for colour lasers. Yes, they are fantastically cheap to run compared to an inkjet photo printer but the output quality is nowhere near as good. Whether it is acceptable is a different issue, but if you are after the best quality full stop lasers are not your best bet.
