I accidentally disabled my microphone. How do I re-enable it?
I know people have already asked questions like this, but most of them say to look in Start > Programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Sound Control. I can do all of that, but I can't find Entertainment or Sound Control. I've even tried searching. My computer is an HP notebook, and it's Windows Vista. Can someone please help? Thanks. : ) Thanks, Lana, you were closer in your answer. Actually, I just figured it out before I checked back for answers, but that's pretty much how it went down. Thanks again guys :)

- Try Start->Control Panel->switch to Classic View (on the left)->double click the Sound icon->Recording tab->Look for Microphone. If it's not there, right click in anywhere in there and choose "Show Disabled Devices"->Microphone should appear->right click it and choose enable.
- Try double-clicking the speaker Icon on the far right of the Taskbar. Then click Mixer, if you see a microphone input, be sure it's not Muted.
