Will these computer parts I want to buy work on my computer?
Hi, I needed to know if these 2 computer parts (video card and power supply) will work on my computer. I have been told they will and I just wanted to make sure. Here is the link to my computer system: http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping/store_access.do?template_type=product_detail&product_code=FK792AAR%23ABA&jumpid=oc_R1002_USENC-001_HP%20Pavilion%20a6600f%20Desktop%20PC&lang=en&cc=us Here is the link to the video card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130435 And the power supply (checked and can fit inside my tower) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139003 Thanks for the assurance!

- WELL IT ALL DEPENDS ON YOUR MOTHER BOARD AND WHAT IT CAN TAKE PLZ TELL ME YOUR MOTHERBOARD MODEL FOR MORE INFO
- Yep, According to that your computer has a PCI-Express slot which is what that graphics card is, and as for the power supply, its fine too.
- The graphics card will fit fine. The power supply too. 60 pound!? ARGH! Makes me wish I never payed 50 for my 8600GT 512MB DDR2...
- The video card will work. On your specs for your HP it says Power supply not applicable. The supply you want is a 20+4 pin Look inside your computer and make sure it isnt a 20+4+4 If it is it wont work. There should be a 20 pin connector with a 4 pin right next to it, so close you really cant tell its 2 plugs. Now, look for another 4 pin connector, white, it will plug in over by the processor. It will be comming out of the same set of wires that the other power supply wires are comming from. if theres not another plug then this PSU will be ok. If it has another 4 wire plug then look for a 20+4+4. Hope you understand what im trying to explain.
- yes you have the right slots for them.... they should work fine=]
- Everything will work fine together. I would not have bothered to answer except to correct what OZ said, which was incorrect. There is no such thing as a "20+4+4" The 4 he is talking about next to the processor is totally seperate from the 20+4. If you look in the specifications for the power supply you chose, under connectors its says main connector (20+4pin) and then 1x12V(4+4 pin). The 12V connector is the second 4 that OZ was referring to, that is a seperate power line just for the processor. Most will use 4 pins, some will use 8, meaning this power supply will work withe either. Anyway, that was just all for clarification, that power supply will work.
