what are some good/cheap digital cameras for beginner photographers?

im only 14 and i want a good digital camera cause i am starting photography my max is about 150

1. I am a canon user (for Point and Shoot) and Nikon user for D-SLR. So far I've owned many Canon P&S and always with great results. Go to BestBuy or RadioShack as a starting point for your research. good luck...

3. Look around Walmart and stuff for cameras you'd be interested in and then try and find them online. I got mine (Casio Exlim) for like $50, and one of my friends got the same one for like, five times more. But anyways. Do price checks at a lot of places.
4. $150 will only get you a point and shoot camera. you want a SLR or DSLR. You can probably get a great SLR film camera on ebay for less than $100. For a DSLR I would go with a Nikon D40 or a Canon Rebel, theye cost more than $150 though.
5. About 2 months ago, I bought the Canon Powershot A1000 IS and I absolutly love it. For me it takes great photos and does a great job shooting videos too.
