- Yeah cyber shot is only on sony things. You can also get sony ericsson mobile phones which have cybershot on them. Cybershot is basicly a better camera, and its really good. its better quality pictures and stuff. hope this helped (:
- Cyber-shot is not a name of a feature, it's the brand name of a camera, a Sony trademark. All (or most) Sony digital cameras are called "cyber-shot", except high end SLR's. To take clear still of a moving object, all you need is a fast shutter speed. You can get it only when there's plenty of light available or you can use a flash. Most point and shoot cameras have "sports" mode. This is the mode which will try to set the camera so that it will use the fastest shutter possible. However all it does - bumps your ISO, and uses widest possible aperture, allowing for fastest shutter speed. You can do it all on any camera allowing semi-manual control. Just bump ISO (be careful there, very high ISO means lots of noise, and cheap p&s cameras do very badly in this department. Expensive point&shoot cameras do marginally better) and use aperture priority with lens wide open (smallest number you can get). That's it. There is no magic in any of those automatic modes if you know what you're doing... So to summarize my answer - most cameras have this feature (save for the cheapest of them). It's either sports mode, or if it has aperture priority mode - you can do it yourself. LEM.
- LEM has it right. But just to embellish, Cybershot is just a name Sony came up with for marketing purposes. Just Like Chevrolet has a Camaro, it does not mean anything about the car, it's just a name. Pontiac had the Firebird, which was just a Camaro with Pontiac badges on it. Cybershot is just a name, not a technology based feature.
