- Usually you just take out the toner cartridge and you will see the jammed paper sitting where you removed it. Pill the paper out carfully, try not to tear it in case you leave little bits that will jam future sheets. often you also have to open the paper trays and pull back any paper thats half way into the printer. There's also usually a door at the back, where the fuser and duplexer are usually. The duplexer will usually just lift a little then pull out and is easy to clear after that. Most printers don't have a duplexer anyway (It does the double sided printing) If there's paper stuck in the Fuser thats the hard part. some are screwed in, some have a couple of coloured tabs to press then they come out. Some have levers to let you pull the paper through. If the paper gets wrapped round the fuser then thats real problems because the fuser is melting the ink powder into the paper, if paper gets wrapped round it instead of just going past, the ink melts into the paper layers and sets like glue. Then its lots of fun and you really need a tech to fix it and probably a new fuser. Hope this helps
