Why is everything on my computer gone?

The start button and task bar on the desktop computer (I am using my laptop currently) is still there, but most of the icons are missing. Microsoft Words, Powerpoint, etc. is all gone and I have no access to it. When I click the Start button, the Accessory button and Games button is empty, and all my files are missing. This happened right after I downloaded a SUPERanti-virus Free Edition software online and removed much of my viruses and also when I downloaded HP Photosmart Essential 3.5 Software online. Please help! How do I get all my icons and such back? Oh, nothings under Accessories. Not even a restore button. o3o

1. I believe instead you download a True Anti Virus you got a fake one and it wiping out your Files.
2. If you can, do a System Restore • START • ALL PROGRAMS • ACCESSORIES • SYSTEM TOOLS • SYSTEM RESTORE Restore the computer to an earlier date before you installed the Anti-Virus ÕÕ ~
3. happened to me back up it and restore i done that 2 times then i was ok
