how to use webcam on an HP laptop computer?

How do you use the webcam on the HP Laptop? I can't see to find it in order to access it on my desktop nor under the "start" menu? I threw the directions out by accident and am stuck. Please help!

2. 1) Do make sure that you have the drivers for the webcam installed. If not navigate to this webpage: http://www.hp.com/#Support 2) Trigger a program that would initialize the webcam, it could be the default webcam program from hp, or a program like skype. 3) If you accidently delete the shortcuts in start menu for it. Go to C:/Program Files/HP, it should be there simply just right click on the program and create a shortcut in desktop.
