how to connect a HP officejet 4215 printer to my computer?

i bought this printer at a garage sale and when i got home to connect it, the comp. says i need a cd, to install it. needless to say i dont have the cd. i asked at walmart if there is one to purchase but no, i was told to go to hp.com, i have, but now i'm lost. can some one guide me through it so that i can 'download the right software' to be able to install the printer. the sooner the better please, someone, my kids have projects to do and they are told to go the library to print out thier research and well, it would be nice to do it at home....thanks to any one who helps....
