It was so simple with Windows XP, now I have Windows Vista Home Premiuim and I cannot print (sigh).?

To be able to print is important to me. Why can't I print? Why did they make it so complicated to do so? What is "Print to File"? Help! I have a Konica Minolta PagePro 1350W laser printer as the default printer. Do I need to purchase a compatible printer? Vista was factory installed on my computer. Dang, this is a mess. Turns out XP is a better deal than Vista. The only difference I see is the Windows side bar which I can live without. I need to be able to print which I cannot live without.

  1. did you go to your printer website and download your vista drivers for your printer??
  2. Follow the link to Konica-Minolta's help for this issue.
  3. You need to install the drivers for your printer. You cant just expect windows to know what you plugged in
  4. xp may be easier to use, i think that is because you have been using it for quite some time. vista on the other hand needs some time to get to know it better. i think you just need to download a vista printer driver from the minolta's website. then you are good to print.
  5. Go to the Konica/Minolta web site and download the "Vista" driver for your printer. It will be a good idea to read the manual that came with your printer to see how the printer wants the software installed. Some printers want their cables disconnected before the software is installed, and some don't.
