HELP!>>WHY DOES MY (Hp) LAPTOP COMPUTER LOG ME OFF EVERY TIME I REACH THE DESKTOP?

plz help.i turn on my computer: type in my user name and password and as soon as im signed in, the desktop shows. =) but no icons=( and 1 second later it says sighing off, and brings me back to the user name and password. it does that every time!...what do i do!? HELp Me
