Would a HP tx2000 8 Cell battery fit in a tx2z?
I can't find any 8 cell tx2z batteries on sale anywhere cept for eBay. Just wondering whether a battery for the tx1000/2000 would work, seeing as they have a similar chassis. http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping/product_detail.do?storeName=accessories&landing=computer&category=categories&subcat1=notebook_batteries&orderflow=1&a1=Cell+size&v1=8-cell&product_code=KC991AA&catLevel=2

- probably. most definitely will turn on and such.
- You need to be certain. HP modifies their batteries from model to model, and even a small change can cause issues. Don't go by the pictures; like luggage at the airport, many batteries look alike. Here's how you can be certain: Fine the actual part number of the battery you need. You can do this by going to support, searching for the model of the system and looking at the Maintenance manual which they provide (PDF file). That manual will have a breakdown of all parts and an HP part number. For laptop batteries, they usually list two, one regular and one extended capacity. Now, do the same thing for the similar laptop model. Compare the part numbers. If they're the same, you can use it. By the way, don't be afraid to use a reputable seller on eBay. I've done this a few times and had success each time.
