  1. You've got 2 solutions. First off, when windows xp asks can it connect with the internet to find a driver (it should do this automatically when you are trying to install something new) select yes and after a little time (several minutes maybe) it may find and download the driver for you. If this bit doesn't auto start go to START right click on my computer and select properties, then HARDWARE then device manager, scroll down until you find your printer then select update driver. Second option is go here, download this program and register (an email address is required to get a free activation code) then let it scan all the drivers on your computer, it gives you a list of what needs updating, helps you download them, and install them for you too, all for free!! http://www.innovative-sol.com/drivermax/
  2. go to http://downloads.lexmark.com/perl/downloads/downloads.cgi ; click DRIVERS&DOWNLOAD - Driver Finder - in search by model you type Lexmark E321 ; select your language , in select your operating system click arrow and click on windows xp ; in Filename: Lexmark_AAE_WinXP_PCL_sys_en.exe , click download now. go out cable for your printer !!!!! run this driver. restart your pc . connect cable for printer and wait to recognize that printer and ready to use. ctrl+P - print test page. go to start - printer and faxes - right click with your printer - set as a default printer. good luck !
  3. I always use an automatic driver update tool, it makes things much smoother. It will quickly detect your devices and locate the proper driver for each device. You can go to http://www.pcdriverupdate.com to get a free scan. I recommend scanning your system with this at least once a month to make sure your drivers stay up to date. Keeping your drivers updated will ensure that your system continues to run at it's peak performance and stability as well as maximizing your software compatibility. In addition, updating with automatic driver update software will prevent the possibility of downloading a virus or other malicious code to your pc. I hope it helps.
