Is this third party power supply compatible with my Lexmark x1170 printer?

I have a lexmark x1170, but i seem to have misplaced the power supply. I do have a power supply (that perfectly fits into the socket), that i bought at some $2 shop that currently powers my stereo. The printer says: Output 30V --- 0.4A while my power supply says: 2.5A --- 250V~ Will I be able to use the two together hassle and damage free? Thanks.

1. if your power supply puts out 250volts and printer takes 30 volts you will blow printer circuits to bits
