HP Store Online

Just bought new hp laptop with preloaded vista home premium. Didn't come with Vista disk. How do I make one?

I recently bought an hp pavilian notebook, that was preloaded, as all laptops seem to be now, with windows vista home premium. It did not come with a vista boot disk, in the case that I need to ever reload vista. Vista is installed on the hard drive though. How would I make a boot disk for security? Thanks.

  1. Windows Vista Business or Ultimate include a utility to make a complete PC backup, Home Basic and Home Premium do not. Open the Backup and Restore Center to begin creating one. As well, many manufacturers place an image on the hard drive under a second volume on the system and there should be a utility program to create a set of recovery disks. If you purchased one of the Home versions and did not get this, you need to go back to the person you got the computer from and request restoration media.
