What's the difference between a HP Pavilion Laptop and a HP Pavilion Notebook?

1. Yep. Lots of companies now call laptops notebooks because they are not really for lap use anymore. Most laptops/notebooks get rather hot with use. If you are a male and wanting to have kids...using a hot laptop is not a very good idea.
2. Oh, how pathetic am I? Despite the category of this question, when I saw "HP" I thought "Harry Potter." My understanding is that most companies' notebooks tend to be smaller than their own laptops, although one company's notebook may still be the size of another company's laptop. Size reductions are often in the keyboard.
