Are HP power supplies any good?

OK, so i will soon be building a computer with an ide cd drive and a sata hdd. It will have a pentium D at 2.0 GHZ and eventually have a 9800GT and thats about it. So will an HP PSU cut it or should I get a thermaltake? The psu is 500 watts btw.
