What do I do to get my hp computer fixed because it's killing me?

My aunt gave me a hp laptop. That got shocked by lighting and now where ever I go,I have to plug it in because the battery keeps dying.What do I do.

1. Shocked by lighting? wouldn't you think it would make the battery better? XD Get a new battery... If it is so bad that it wont hold a charge for more than an hour or two then it's time to send it in and get it replaced.
