1. This laptop is the one my sister has, and she goes to MIT. For a student who likes music and movies, this isn't that good, although it is cheap. I would reccomend getting a Macbook with 4 GB of RAM, but if that is too expensive, get the following laptop:
2. uhh...no....i'd recommend at least 3 gigs of RAM, that one has 2.... and at least 250 gigs hard drive (which it does have) ...and oh they have a great sale going on at dell...check it out, u can get much better ones for like 50 bucks more, maybe even some at the same price! p.s. compaq is a really unreliable company (lots of personal experience)...and dell is one of the leading computer companies u can also try for hp p.s. best buy has good deals, and try the dell website too to see the sales. good luck!
