Laptop price comparisons ?
I am looking into this laptop, I THINK I have made my choice I wanted to know if I should hold out till end of december (i don't need this until jan 20 or so) or buy it now. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9077125&st=hp+pavilion+laptop&type=product&id=1218016497030 I wanted to know if you all could point me to some REPUTABLE online dealers who are selling this same computer so that I can compare prices. I am open to other suggestions. I think this computer is probably more than enough computer for the class I am using it for and for other business applications once I finish school. I just need it for excel worksheets, word documents, powerpoints, etc. I will also be using this for my MCAT practice program, sims, and rollercoaster tycoon. When I spoke with best buy and circuit city sales people they told me I don't need a seirous gaming computer to play those two games. Since I'm not a serious gamer thats not really important to me anyways. . any suggestions would be helpful

- i think that computer is a good price. So get it if you want.
- I know that laptop will be so steller because I have it and it works just fine. I think you maybe you shpuld wait on buying it because you might find one at a better price. Here's a web site that I got my old laptop and desktop from http://www.fingernut.com( I think it fingerhunt but just try both) they give you great deals on all kinds of things. I hope I helped
- I'd base your choice on the MCAT exams you'll be suing, because those can be cumbersome programs that you need speed to process. The Kaplan exams (if you use them) are apt to crash, although that could be a server issue with so many people logging on for the SAT, GRE, MCAT, etc... at the same time. If you'll be using the laptop for exams from AAMC (the released older exams) or Berkeley Review (SDN's popular choice exams for 2008), then a lower level model is fine, because those two sites are dedicated solely to premeds, so you won't have to fight traffic (so to speak). As for my laptop, I got it on sale from Fry's and have been really happy. Just don't fall for their extra "warranty" cost that they try to sneak in there. It's supplemental to the regular warranty to maker gives and they are usually pretty slimy when they force it on you.
