  1. Go to www.crucial.com instead. Allow it to scan your computer. It will tell you what you have, what you can upgrade to and give you upgrade options.
  2. don't waste your money on ebay you can get them anywhere http://crucial.com/
  3. go to this web site find your system and it will tell you what memory it takes they also have a 1800 number on there to. i usually tell them i just need a quote. http://www.memoryx.com/ edit:>i agree with the others you should go to a vendor, its not that much and less headaches
  4. Ran your system through a memory configurator (can Google and pick one of the sites that you like) and found that your system supports: PC2700 266 MHz DDR SDRAM SO DIMM 200-pin, Non-ECC Four banks Memory Configuration STD: 256 MB MAX: 1 GB Memory Expansion Slots: 2 Hope that helps. ** Edit ** Oh, given that memory isn't very expensive, unless you are getting a very good price on ebay, I'd really recommend going with a vendor that will provide some sort of warranty for the memory. Your looking at generic memory pricing starting around $14 for a 512 MB module and going up from there (for name brand memory, around $25 per 512 MB for that memory type would be pretty good).
  5. Buying memory on ebay is risky. go to you computer manufacturers web site or http://www.crucial.com/ I buy all of my memory there. you can look up your computer by make and model number or use their scanner. I highly recommend http://www.crucial.com/
