HP Store Online

I'm looking at Canon/Sony/Nikon digital cameras... $200-300. Which is best?

I like Canon, Sony, and Nikon digital cameras because I have each make solid cameras. I am willing to spend between $200-300. I currently own a Sony and thought it took great pictures. I read an online article that looked at a bunch of cameras and the Canon PowerShot 10.0-Megapixel Digital ELPH Camera, Model SD880IS, was the best. When I read reviews for this camera online I read where this camera has a lot of noise from light sensitivity... I'm not sure how much that come up, and it is still new to me. Anyways, I also saw where some Nikon's have a better zoom. Something I read said megapixels do not make that much of a difference anymore. Which qualities should I look for exactly? Also, Best Buy and other electronic store prices are higher than the following site... http://www.jr.com/..... Is there a reason for this? Will Best Buy price match? I would rather look at the camera before I buy it. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here is the site for the Canon I was looking at: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8968325&type=product&id=1217029965521

  1. i recently bought that same cannon powershot, and i love it. i thought it was a really good price for the pictures it takes. Its not one of those big professional cameras, but for someone who wants good pictures all around, then I would recommend this camera. I havent noticed the noise as much since ive bought it. But if you were also going to look at other cameras, just make sure to check on how the pictures come out for what you want. i.e. good sports pictures, mainly taking portriats, etcetc. and im not sure about the whole price thing, i know that if you look around a lot you can get a pretty good price on it, i got mine from best buy when it was on sale for $179. I later saw it at costco for $20 cheaper. So i would just look around. but check because some places are cheaper because the camera might be used or refurbished. good luck!
  2. Personally, I like Canon point-and-shoot cameras. My old A620 still takes great photos. Here are two good sites for reviews and recommendations. http://www.dcresource.com/buyersguide/ and http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/recommended-cameras.htm Before you order from any online merchant, you should know there are many scam sites out there. “If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.” Check out merchants at: http://www.resellerratings.com/ Good luck and good shooting.

  4. i bought a Sony Cyber-Shot in August. it has a touch screen, full HD 1080, 8.1 mega pixels, super steady shot, face detection, high sensitivity ISO 3200, && a LOT of other features including smile shutter(thats where it will automatically take a pic when some1 smiles with out you telling it to, if you have it set to that). it really is a great camera, i bought mine for around $275, but i believe the price has dropped some since i bought it last August. it has worked great for me, i love it. if you are interested, here is the name: Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T70 i hope this helped!
