Can color printers print white text on color paper?

I'm trying to print white text on a colored piece of paper. Can a color laser or inkjet printer do that?

4. Just ignore the people who are guessing There is no white ink or toner. "White" text in a document is simply the absence of ink/toner, with the presumption that the paper is white. If you had pink paper, all the "white" areas of your document (including white text and white areas in photos) would be pink.
5. Sorry, no. Printers do white by not actually mixing any ink in the white areas, so if your paper is not white, the "white" areas will be whatever color the paper is.

7. There is no white ink or toner as far as I remember. To do that you'd need a special ribbon printer which works by thermal transfer. White ribbon is available. I used to have one of those, about 12 years ago. The print quality was extraordinary, but the price of printing too. Do a search for Thermal Transfer Printer and you might get something affordable.
8. No. I tried it before and it will not print and I even changed the background colour of the page I was writing on in Word to black and put coloured paper in the printer. All that happened was the paper shot right through and come out blank. How is a colour cartridge that contains yellow, blue and pink ink going to mix white?
