1. Check the brother website to see if the manual is online there. Click on support or tech support. Or online documentation...If not look up an authorized repair center for Brother and call them. They should be able to answer your question for free for this...GL

4. Best thing to do restart your pc ,this should reset the printer,if your machine has a glitch it might cause the external items like printer to go screwy, red is trouble green is working fine. good luck
