- mine did not i had to order it. My newer one came with ability to burn one right from the computer when i installed everything!
- As far as I know, almost no new PCs come with a reinstall disc. They make you do a backup on to CDs or DVDs when you first start up the PC. They also may have the backup image stored in a different partition on the hard drive.
- if u buy it new not used or borrowed it will come with one if not buy it from http://ebay.com/
- Short answer, yes, all computers do come with the reinstallation CDs.
- i just bought an hp from bestbuy and they had to make the system restore disks it was like 30 bucks
- The HP computers I've gotten (several) usually come with a System Recovery partition (drive D:) and the ability to create recovery disks. You also might be able to get HP to send you a set of recovery disks. Note that this is NOT a Windows Installation disk. It's a recovery disk for HP's configuration of that computer and generally won't work elsewhere. Hope that helps.
- I don't know for I have never owned one, but I do know that dell gives you a piece of paper saying "HaHa , you have to call us and pay for the CD to get it" hypothetically of course. this probably didnt help, but good luck w/ your PC
- The answer is NO. HP puts a partition on the hard disk (hidden partition) that is the reinstallation software. However, this does not work if the hard disk crashes or a virus attacks the hidden partition and corrupts it. The only way I would ever buy an HP is if HP gave me the entire operating system, installer and all, on a CD/DVD.
