- no it won't mess your printer up, but it will mess up the things you print. Because for color printing, the computer mixes yellow, magenta and cyan, so if you put black in place of the cyan, where there should be cyan, there will be black, so when you print colored stuff, it might appear darker, or maybe even totally black. So no, it won't mess up your printer, but it's not very advisable to do so since it will mess up the things you print in color.
- I'm not sure if you can or not but I wouldn't advise it, in case it done some damage to your printer.
- NO you can't For a start the carts should not fit, so doing so would damage the printer physically Then running it with the wrong colour will take forever to flush out later, costing WAY more than the new ink would cost. Just go buy some ink, it's simpler, safer and quicker
- If your cartridges have no chip and all the same size it can be done. But you would mess up all your printouts, because the driver has no idea what you did. If your printer refuses to print because one cartridge is empty or missing, the cartridges surely have chips. If you replace the catridge with another colour you have to change the chips as well. Going back to normal, use the clean printhead function or your first printouts will get wrong coloures. But first of all. If you just NEED a printout, tell your printer to print black only.
