Can HP Laptops have their graphics card upgraded?
Wanna know if I screwed myself over.

- Laptop = integrated video = new motherboard. no the only way to upgrade is to buy a new motherboard for it...better off buying a new laptop.
- You have to specify the model. Few laptops have a graphics card - instead they rely on main system memory and a lower power chip bolted to the motherboard - integrated graphics. It's not replaceable, and mainstream laptops don't make allowances for added on cards. You probably screwed yourself over if you got a gaming laptop whether it's got a card or not - laptop cards are very expensive and because they are not interchangeable, they are difficult to find replacements for. Card-equipped laptops trend to be bulkier, run hotter and consume battery power faster than laptops using integrated graphics. Also, those laptop cards have spotty record for reliability - with users not infrequently suffering fried cards within a year of purchase, and users getting inadequate product protection. You may be better off with that low power laptop.
