HP Store Online

I'm looking to buy a new printer. Any sugesstions? Injet, Laser....and which brand is the best?

I just bought a new Dell XPS desktop and need a nice printer to add to it. Speed is not so important but quality is. And yes sometimes the things I print will be in color. Dell wants me to add on an all-in-one for $449 but scanning and faxing is really not a necessity. And will I run into problems using another brand like Cannon, Brother, Lexmark, Sharp.........ect.

  1. from personal experince epson is the best brand out there
  2. Hello- HP! They are so reliable and the new ink cartidges they use don't dry out as the older models would. If you want a black and white laser, check out the HP 1018 or 1020. If I were you go look around at Best Buy.
  3. laser printers are the best for high quality printing, im not sure which is the best brand tho, I would say probably HP or cannon, but im not really bothered which brand in my opinion, as long as it prints what i need to then whatever but then u obviously do care about the brand so maybe go to someone else about this part, but I know laser printers are definately best for high quality, and u can use any brand with a dell computer.
  4. My answer ill seem off the beat. That's why I decided to answer. Depending on how much printing you will handle, your first step should be to go out and check for ink-tanks availability, and also for their prices. Prices vary very drastically between brands and although there are generic tanks for each brand they don't give you the same quality. I own 2 Cannon printers, one Pixma ip 1000 and one Cannon Pixma ip 1200 They both work great but ink cartridges for the 1000 are 60 % cheaper. That to say the least is a huge difference, provided both printers do the same basic thing: print. I've heard that Epson has a line of printers that use individual cartridges for the 3 basic colors... This seems to me as an advantage because all other brands have a 3 in 1 cartridge( or tank) for color, This means that if you run out of magenta for example, you loose the rest of the other colors still left in the cartridge. So go out and ask about the epson printers, that should be your best buy... Good Luck.
  5. Go for HP - 'All in one' Model of any series you like. Scanning and faxing is not your necessity, but why not to have it at a little extra cost. Go for it and use it only when you need to scan or fax, else use it as a Printer only.
