How come there are digital cameras on ebay from China for $0.01 with free shipping. ?

Maybe I don't know enough about how ebay works but how can it be that there are brand new in box digital video cameras going for cents. The listings are all from China, I don't get this, can it be real?

1. Go on Ebay and look at the prices! =}
2. $0.01 is the STARTING price for bids. The reserve price has not been met so you will have to bid until you meet the reserve price. Additionally you may get hit with Import duty and tax when you receive it. The starting price is merely to attract your attention. Also the sellers only have limited feedback, so be careful If its too good to be true, it probably is!
3. Personally I won't buy from China on ebay. Check the completed items from them and you'll see that probably none actually sold for a penny. I have seen some creepy sellers advertise FREE SHIPPING only to find in tiny print that they charge a $25 handling fee or something ridiculous. Check feedback and the stars to see what kind of seller you are dealing with. www.toolhaus.org is an excellent site to filter out all but negative and neutral feedback so you can see what kind of complaints they get and see if there is a pattern.
