which is the best brand for digital cameras?

I have heard that the best brand in digital cameras is Nikon, what do you think?

I really love the Nikon!
nikon or canon, for sure i have owned many different brands of cameras, and those are what i've come to love and they last very long and have great quality. do NOT get sony, olympus, casio, and definately not fujifilm.
Fuji, Nikon and Canon all use the new three layer cmos chip. Which means far fewer artifacts at higher resolutions. The best type are the SLR type as you can use different lenses for different kinds of shots. The worst available are the Sony cameras. When you load their software they set up a reporting function that tells Sony what is on your computer.
If it were my decision, I would go with a Canon. They're high quality and usually get a great capture. Nikon is also very good, but a tad more expensive. If you're looking for the best value to $ ratio, and are interested mainly in having a camera to take wherever, Kodaks wit 3x+ optical zoom are typically pretty decent (not all Kodak's are tho), theyre simplistic, cheap, and pretty sturdy (so you dont care whether you ruin it or not lol).
