(I'd like to have the highest quality setting on and not have to deal with lag)

  1. That build should do you just fine for main stream gaming. Though you may still have to cut back some settings on high end games. I would point towards a 7200RPM Hard Drive and even up the pixel count to a WSXGA. Then as soon as you get the notebook, remove are the bloat-ware they preload on the machine.
