Look you can go to any store like Office Depot, Staples and buy the basic black and white printer for $79 - $99. Think about this, what are you using it for? Do you really need color? In most cases color printers are not used that much. They are used a lot by educators but not by your normal person. What the manufacturers get you is by selling you these three in ones but when you go to replace the ink toner cartridges they are really expensive. You can get a three in one for under $100 and they will serve you very well.
for a printer, i can recommend hp. they are very good and have great customer service. you can get the HP color LaserJet 1600 for about $300 on their website. as for scanners, so far i haven't come across a poor name, so find what features you like and go from there. hope that helps.
