help with a laptop for school?

hi i want to get laptop for school (word prossecing and internet lookups) and this one is for sale in our classifieds what do you think of it? this is the ad: laptop, used, excellent condition laptop forsale, hp omnibook xe4500, windows xp, 28 gig hard drive, intel pentium 4, 256 mb ram, cd burner, wireless, have all accessories, original box, and docking station. it's not the fastest pc, but it runs good and works good, would like to see at least $200, reason for selling bought my girlfriend a new laptop for $1600 thanks everyone! :-)

1. Well, it's going to be kinda slow and pokey. 256MB of RAM really isn't enough to run XP and have a good experience doing so. Nonetheless, $200 for any halfway decent laptop isn't a bad deal. May be worth buying it and then upgrading the ram. Just make sure everything works AND that the copy of Windows on it is legal and validated.
