Payday Advance stores will give you an advance or give you a small loan, but the rates are terrible. You might be better off applying for a store card where you are buying it from. A few months ago I bought a HP computer directly from HP, and I got discounts when I applied for their card and paid it off in less than 3 months (before the promo APR wore off). Good luck!
Find a neighbor and offer to do some yardwork. Mow/rake/weed/water 10 yards for $50 each? Ask someone for a loan. Have a garage sale and sell some things you don't need anymore. Put it on a credit card (just be sure to pay it off promptly!). Finance the computer through HP directly or ask the store (Best Buy, Circuit City, whatever) you're buying it from about financing options.
