Which Laptop is better-- HP or Toshiba's?

Im interested in the two laptop in the links below yet ive never own a laptop before and i am about to go into college soon, so i need one. These are on sale for black friday, i am going to go out early to best buy and get one. You can find better deals at newegg.com They have a acer similar to that toshiba that cost 450$ and will drop soon. I recommend You get a laptop with a processor or Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD turion X2. Ummm Toshiba is a good brand but seriously their laptops are freaking thick. But i still go with toshiba! Go to newegg.com, BETTER DEALS!
Well overall I think Hp is better. But between the two you choosen, the Toshiba has a little more in it. Since the HP comes with a printer (if you don't have a printer) it be a good idea to go with the HP.
Hi Well, most review from the PC World, PC Mag have great comment on the Hp that you've mentioned above. Besides, Hp got excellent after sales technical services.
Toshiba's are junk, my stepdad has been through 4 of them in two years! I have had this HP for three with no issues yet. Knock on wood! Some companies, like Sony, actually build their products to break so that they will have to be replaced, the logic being that you would go buy the same piece of crap that needed replacing..hmm
Never had a Toshiba Bought a new HP laptop last February...HATE it, I have 4 computers, this is the only HP I have ever had and I will never have another 1. I know this will be thumbs down on this post but I wanted to give you an honest answer not a popular 1. Happy Thanksgiving!
Toshiba by far. They were the first company to build an IBM-PC based laptop, back in 1985. They were the first company to put an Optical drive in a laptop. They were the first company to put a DVD drive in a laptop. They build more secure laptops. They build better designed laptops. They build more durable laptops. I'm a laptop repair man. I get HP laptops in all the time for hardware repairs. The Toshibas I get in the shop, are for spyware infections, and OS reinstalls. THe raw evidence presented to me daily in the computers I have to fix, is that HP builds low quality computers that look really really pretty... and that is their only redeeming quality. Toshiba builds a better laptop, hands down. As a side note... Fujitsu is a company that makes Laptops and Hard drives. However, do you know what brand of hard drives they use in their laptops? They use TOSHIBA brand hard drives.
HP is still the best.
Toshiba i own 2 toshiba laptops they are soo strong i punched the LCD screen twice already nothing happened at all i spilled cofee on it still it was only sticking nothing else happen
