What's a good dpi resolution for laser printers?

Looking for a laser printer, our inkjet just broke, just wondering what are good features to look for. Thanks!

1. 200 DPI is fax quality. Basic text usually is 300x300DPI. Color pictures should be at least 1200x1200DPI for a decent picture. 600DPI just isn't that good. If you want to do just a few pictures and a lot of text the 2 printer solution might be best for you. A color inkjet for pictures and a black/white laser for documents. Before you buy anything though look at the consumables for that printer. Often they cost more in the long run than the printer does.
