I changed the in cartridges in my Epson C86 printer and now the color inks won't print ,what do I do?
I went through and tested everything and only the black ink prints. The colors do not print. I tested everything but still won't work. Any suggestions on what to do next?

- Did the troubleshooting guide that go with your printer that be a good start.
- buy a real printer
- pull out the cartridge and see if there is plastic over the ink opening. if so take it off and try again
- Use the printer's cleaning function. This will force ink to flow from the cartridge to the print head. You may need to do this a few times before it works.
- Epson printer are known for clogged print heads an are hard to clean since the can not be removed easiely but you can try go here http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&hs=c3n&sa=X&oi=spell&resnum=0&ct=result&cd=1&q=clean+epson+printers&spell=1 i tried to clean my 1 1/2 half year old multifunction never worked go get a canon printer. i will never buy another epson
- take the cartridges back out. where each one was, you should see a cone-shaped object. these cones contain the printheads. you need to get in there with some cotton swabs and some rubbing alcohol, and clean each cone gently until the swabs come out relatively clean. then re-insert the carts and try again. epsons do clog super-easily and if you are still under warranty, you can probably get a new printer by calling the company. they are aware of the problem and still don't seem to be willing to fix it :(
- Epson printheads are always clogging up so I use an epson head cleaning kit that the company I work for make here the page of our web site: http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/kits/Epson/K70
