HP m8530f -- Power Supply?

I just bought the above pc...thinking I could do it myself..I purchased second internal DVD burner (HP) One problem as I found out from an HP customer service rep (via online chat). This pc model m8530f', the power supply only has: one 24 - pin ATX power connector and one 4-pin ATX power connector; all foreign to me. Basically to install a second internal drive the power supply needs to have 2 power connectors -- makes perfect sense! BUT WHY THE HELL PUT SECONDARY BAY AVAILABE...BUT NOT INSTALL A POWER SUPPLY TO SUPPORT IT!!! WTF!!!! Anyway around this without changing power supply? Obviously I can buy an external burner.....

  1. You need a "Y" . Like this: http://www.directron.com/cbl-y.html
  2. You power supply should have either a Sata power cable http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:SATA_power_cable.jpg or a 4 pin molex http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Molex_female_connector.jpg Connector. You dont need to change you power supply just for installing an extra optical drive. Your current power supply should have a few spare to ues. The 24 pin and 4 pin doesn’t matter. Just open the Drive bay Plug in the power and then data. Then turn on the pc.
