Toner cartridge capacity for new cartridge v. one that came with printer. ?

My Canon printer cost $29 at walmart. To purchase new toner for it would cost over $40. Is this new cartridge more full than the ones that come with the printer? If not, is there any reason I shouldn't just buy a new printer each time my ink runs out?

1. In general, the toner that come with the printer is called a "starter cartridge", and contains less stuff than normal or high-cap toners. Why not look into refill kits?
2. The cartridges you get with the printer are often trial cartirdges which are only rated to print a fraction of the pages the new one would. The largest Trail cartridges currently being marketed is by Canon, however it is only 25% of the ink a new cartridge would have.
