Laptop hardrive and accessories?

I'm looking at getting an HP laptop either Dv7 or HDX18 but the ones listed on ebay always don't have either one thing or another. Is it possible to add a hardrive to a laptop to make it a duel hardrive? I'd guess the RPM's and GB size have to match but is that it?

1. i remember seeing some of the larger Toshiba models a few years ago had dual hard drives. i wouldn't recommend ebay for the reason you mention, laptops are real cheap now, you could probably do far better with a local purchase
