Is there a way to restore pictures saved to the internal memory of my Kodak digital camera?

My digital camera is a Kodak EasyShare CX7430. I had some pictures on the internal memory and they got erased, and unfortunately it seems I cannot restore them. When I hook the camera up to my computer, it recognizes it as a device, not removable media. I would be willing to do anything, as I am also going to contact Kodak. Since the camera doesn't work anymore anyway, I would also be willing to take the camera apart. Please help me! I have tried numerous programs and so far nothing works. Thank you!

  1. I've looked and looked, and I haven't seen any way of recovering photos from internal memory. With a media card, you are able to mount the card as a drive and search it for missing files. With internal memory, there's no way for any recovery program to access the memory, since it is accessed by the camera's proprietary software interface. Here's the support page for your camera. http://www.kodak.com/global/en/service/products/ekn027989.jhtml?pq-path=1931 You should be able to find the tech support contact info there. Hopefully they will have a better answer than mine.
