Looking for HP dv9000 part?

I am looking for a part for my husband's computer...he has an HP dv9000 entertainment laptop. The broken part is the hole where the ac adapter plugs into the laptop itself. I don't know what it's called, let alone the part number. I've contacted HP but am waiting for a response. Basically I had someone check out the computer, and the only thing that's wrong with it is it won't power on when the computer is hooked up to the adapter because he used to pull the adapter plug out and twist with such force...so now it won't hold a charge. so that's the part that needs replaced. Can anyone tell me the product number, the name of the part, and where I can get it online or in stores besides HP (they take forever!!!) Trying to fix it as a surprise before he gets home from war. 1. You do no the lap top has to be taken apart to replace the A/C charger connector plug (male fitting) on the back of the lap top. I would go to: http://www.QHT.com Quality High - Tech Services Inc, I have used them to repair my laap top with good service and parts. Second choice would be: http://www.frys.com but would take it to one of the stores for service. Hope this helps
2. Without seeing exactly what is wrong it is hard to be sure. However, HP has an online parts guide for this laptop available at http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01311536.pdf I am guessing you may be referring to part # 432985-001 "Power connector bracket" which can be purchased on-line from several vendors for between $15 and $30
3. If the motherboard is damaged where the charging port is connected to it It's probably not worth repairing. Have it checked by a professional for their opinion.
