nice, cheap not nikon digital cameras?

where can i get a nice digital camera that would be perfect for professional photography? I need one in the 100-200 price range, and not a nikon (my dad doesn't like that brand for some weird reason....) i would like one where i can take photos and make them look nicer on photoshop, but i want one that can make shots like the ones on flickr, you know what i mean?

  1. Well, You may not feel this will answer your issues but it will. Two things. One is that a very cheap camera can do professional photography if you know HOW to do professional photography. That mostly means lighting, use of shadows, contrast and so on. The second thing is a good photo editing program. I edit very poor photographs and make them look as good as a magazine photo with Photoshop. Third. A very nice camera for about $335 @ amazon.com is the CANON POWERSHOT SX10 IS. Watch for the low price scam artists on the Internet. There are 2 well known scam artists that offer very low prices and never intend on sending the camera - UNLESS you pay for a lot of extras. Google the COMPANY NAME and look for negative feedback. The company page will have positive feedback from dummies that don't know any better and buy all the add-ons via a phone call to 'verify your order'. Because they don't know they've been had, they give positive feedback when they've been raped!
  2. I have a Fuji digital camera. It takes great pictures. I download them all of the time. It was like $150. It works great.
  3. here are a selection of beaut little cameras...ignore the nikon as your dad doesnt like them... http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/Q408budgetgroup/
  4. you must be a big dreamer to think pro for 200 bucks and you dad must be dumb not to like nikon. So, my advice, stop dreaming and tell your dad to stop reasoning. Better start both saving money cause there is at least a zero missing in the amount you talk about and I think you should add a few dust corns more anyway. You can get a film camera for cheep on e-bay and a correct scanner to digitize, but still there you are far from your 200 bucks.
