Where is the firewire port on my new HP Laptop?
OK I have a brand new HP pavillion dv5t notebook and HP has told me i have a firewire port. I can't find it. I have a firewire cable for my PC, it's 4pin to 6 pin, can my laptop have a 4pin to 9 pin? My camera uses a 4pin and my pc uses a 6 pin. I'm so confused and also what would it say or what graphic would be on the laptop? What are the HDMI and esata ports for?

- I don't know I tried looking at the image form the hp website and didn't see it. Maybe I was looking at the wrong model. Anyway there should atleast be a Y like icon near the firewire port. Here is a picture of a firewire port http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:IEEE_1394_Firewire_PCI_Expansion_Card_Digon3.jpg anyhow the HDMI ports areHD ports that carry sound and video, you often see them on lcd tv so that laptop might be able to easilty be viewed on an LCD tv screen. as for the e-sata (external sata) is currectly the fastest data transfer cable out there, even faster then firewire and usb. It is mainly used for external hard drives. (check to make sure any external hard drives you buy can plug through esata cables.)
- Your computer has a mini FireWire port. You need an adapter for FireWire to Mini FireWire.
