Printer Help! Hp Laser Jet P2015?

I have a new printer I bought. and its not printing. It installed correctly, and when I press Ctrl+P it shows the printer name on the drop-down list. I clicked print, and its not working! all the cables are installed correctly as well. I also went into my computer and it showed the printer was there under the software and ready to go. i dont understand whats wrong. i have a VERY important [project due tomorrow and i need HELP. If the printer is usb swithc to a differetn usb port....if that does not fix then uninstall the printer and reinstall...also reboot your pc an the printer...if you switch to a new usb port does you pc run the install wizard if not then it is not seeing your printer. also is their other printers install on your system if so make sure the new printer is the default....
2. First of all, go and unplug and replug the cables. 50% of all problems are in the interconnects. Don't just look at the cables and say 'Uh Huh, they're plugged in", actually unplug and replug each one. Then, make sure the printer is on and the ready light is on. Check that there is no errors for paper jam, that the toner is correctly installed, and that the printer has paper, and the tray is correctly installed. Double check that you have removed all of the packing tape and bits of styrofoam and plastic (including internally) that protect the printer components while shipping. Some toner cartridges require seals to be removed before installing, check that. Then, go into the Printer control panel and completely delete your existing printer connection, get the HP software disk, and reinstall it from scratch. When you get to the point where it offers to send a test page, do so. Watch the printer - do any of the lights or LCD panels indicate that it is receiving data? If not, you may have a bad cable, or the port in your computer may be blocked. What port are you using? If it is the Parallel port, then it may be turned off in your BIOS.
