I went looking for a scanner yesterday and all the store had were the combination scanner?

and printer. HP was giving $50 off on any printer if you bought this combo. Did HP make a mistake in building the combo? I mean like since both (the printer and scanner) break at different times.

1. I don't think anyone makes only a scanner, everything I've seen lately are either the all in one combos or just a printer.
