Computer repairing question?

I'm planning on buying an hp pavilion elite and my friend said that in the future if my hp pavilion gets broken, stores won't have the parts to be able to fix it, is this true?

3. depends. on the store. but there are tons of different kinds of hp pavilions with different parts. and you can just ship your computer to there head querters
4. Stores never have specific HP parts. Your friend is full of it. HP elites use similar products like any other computer. You can replace anything that may break with an aftermarket part. Elites are some of the best computers on the market for the price. I hope one opinion doesn't stop you from buying a great computer.
5. Have never read nor heard anything about that. From what reputable source did she get her information? Does HP know about that? Though HP may indeed as all manufacturers do discontinue certain brands or computer styles and promote newer ones but that doesn't mean there won't be parts available to repair or support all their products.
