MS Office 2007 not responding in VISTA - problem with HP printer Driver?

Since upgrading to MS Office 2007 I get a "not responding" whenever I use Excel, WORD or Outlook - suggestions seem to point to a clash with an HP driver for my printer (F2100 series). Any ideas?

  1. Actually, it happened is because your computer has insufficient memory. Try to add some more memory, let's say 2gb at least.
  2. Uninstall the HP printer software and reinstall - try again after that. Have you had the dreaded 'Vista' losing the HP printer and it keeps trying to reinstall syndrome. If yes - do not reinstall it - let the software try and just keep clicking cancel. The software is there already and if you keep installing you get heaps of useless files.
  3. I know this doesn't exactly answer your question but - I switched from MS Office to Open Office about six months ago, and never looked back - I have a HP printer too (Vista O/S) http://www/openoffice.org It's a FREE download - and looks & feels like MS Office. Try it yourself- you can always uninstall it if you don't like it.
  4. Un-install drivers then go to HP site and download new drivers for your model, select run when asked (not save).
