  1. yes it can be done by anyone, you just have to know a few things. First, you should buy a power supply that has at least 450 watts and at least 26 amps on the 12 volt rail and one that has an pci-e power connector. like this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371007 Two things that are must know about power supplies is don't go buying the least expensive one you can find, it most likely wont be enough to power your computer and might not work at all. Second thing to know is the better power supply you buy(more expensive), the better, because down the line you might want to upgrade your computer again and you will really be angry that you went cheap on the power supply and now you don't have enough power for whatever new pc parts you buy so you have to go waist more money on buying ANOTHER power supply and installing it. HOW TO INSTALL THE NEW POWER SUPPLY AND GRAPHICS CARD: -uninstall old graphics card drivers from PC by going to device manager and display adapters. -turn computer off -unplug power cord -take side panel off case -ground yourself so you don't short out your computer (simply touch an unpainted piece of metal anywhere in your computer ) -take out old graphics card(if there is one) -unplug all power cords from everything inside (hard drive, cd rom drive, floppy drive, motherboard) -unscrew and take out old power supply -screw in new power supply and replace all plugs (make sure everything is plugged in all the way -plug in new graphics card -plug in pci-e power connector to graphics card -put side panel back on the pc case -plug in power cable into the back -turn on computer -install new graphics card drivers that comes on disk Thats pretty much everything you need to know, any questions you might, have you can email me. one last thing i think i should tell you. The 8800gts is kind of an outdated card. The new 8800GT just came out and its way better than a 8800GTS and WAY faster. In fact, its almost as fast as an 8800GTX (which costs $550) The 8800GT only costs $250 (50 dollars less than a 8800GTS). good luck.
